Comala Canvas for Jira now shows dependencies

The latest version of Comala Canvas for Jira is available on the Atlassian Marketplace, now featuring visual dependencies between issues. This graphical improvement should make it much easier for teams to see the relationships linking their issues, something that is critical for teams using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to enterprise-scale their Agile development.

At Summit USA, we had discussions with a number of partners and users about the current state of Agile development. Many mentioned that Jira, though a great product, was missing an important feature – they wanted to be able to visually see dependencies between issues. Upon returning from San Jose we set our team to work on adding this enhancement to our Comala Canvas for Jira app. The result is an improved product that should open up new possibilities for Jira users.

Utilizing the dependency feature is completely optional, but those who choose to use it can select which dependencies to show on their board, as well as customizing the colours of the links. Moving cards around the board is no problem as the lines will be redrawn once you place your card.

The update is live now in our Cloud app, with server to follow shortly as the version 2.8 release. To try the app yourself with a free evaluation, visit our listing on the Marketplace.
